Apple Core Mines

One of the early design pieces for the interior of the Apple Core mines located in Svartalfheim. Early on we were pitched the idea that the Dwarves would be stripping the mine, leaving behind support columns. This idea eventually led to them looking like a core of an apple!

As we developed the environment, the space became tighter and more dense for gameplay reasons, but the core concept remained.
